HOW PROJECTS ARE SELECTED
To ensure only sound and sustainable climate solutions with high impact potential are featured on the Climate Solutions Hub, we follow a three-step selection process.
We tap into the knowledge and experience of some of the world’s most established climate funders and experts, whom we are grateful to call the official partners of the Climate Solutions Hub. Our partners recommend selected organisations and climate projects from their own fields of expertise, each bringing a unique perspective to climate funding to the table.
STEP 1: Recommendation by an experienced climate funder or expert
Our partners are:

STEP 2: Fulfilment of impact criteria and fit to the Climate Action Taxonomy
- Mitigation focus, addressing the root causes of the climate crisis
- National or international focus, not regional
- Potential to affect public and policy momentum
- Holistic approach and, if applicable, inclusion of a social justice dimension
- Durable and sustainable solution
- Fit to the Climate Action Taxonomy (see below)
STEP 3: Passing of due diligence assessment
- Budget overview, including an overview of the income structure
- Financial audit reports of the past two years (if available)
- Statutes (or equivalent)
- Risk assessment reports (if available)
- Minutes of supervisory board meetings (if available)
- Internal regulations and policies
- Organisational chart
- Senior staff bios and job descriptions
- Program portfolio
- Theory of change/Impact strategy
- Annual reports of the past two years
- External evaluation reports (if available)
